Xinyao Lan is a London-based illustrator and practice-based researcher currently pursuing her master's degree at Kingston School of Art. Her work explores relationships of graffiti/doodling and education, with a focus on using visual language to examine and critique political, social, and cultural phenomena in a contemporary context.
Illustration serves as a process, a research method, a teaching stratege, a tool for solving problems from real-world and amplifying some voices for certain audiences.
